Am vergangenen Wochenende fand er nun endlich statt, der dritte internationale Sommer Hockey Cup des ESV Dresden. Am Ende hieß der Gewinner West Berlin Boys mit dem Ex-Profi Harald Windler. Im Finale besiegten sie die bis dahin im Turnier ungeschlagenen Geronimo Stars, die mit Jan Benda ebenfalls einen prominenten Spieler in ihren Reihen hatten. 
Für die Gastgeber, die Cowboys Dresden, blieb leider nur der vierte Platz hinter der zweiten Dresdner Mannschaft, den Devils.
Zum besten Spieler des Turniers wurde Christian Birk von den Geronimo Stars gewählt.
