Letzten Samstag waren die Prellböcke zum Ligaspiel bei den Spitzer Eiseiligen im fernen Varnsdorf zu Gast. Die bisherigen Ergebnisse der Spitzer ließen auf eine Form weit entfernt der einstigen Topform des Ligameisters schließen.
So gestaltete sich das Spiel auch schnell. Danilo #75 und Hannes #34 brachten die Gäste mit 4:0 in die Drittelpause.
Das berüchtigte Mitteldrittel stellte den Meister vor seine schwerste Aufgabe: Sich selbst. Das Spiel wurde fahrlässig geführt, Chancen blieben weiter ungenutzt und hinter der Bande kehrte Unruhe ein. Die Eiseiligen zeigten, was sie konnten und spielten sich schnell auf ein 4:2 heran. Abermals Danilo und nun auch Kevin #27 konnten das Spiel durch Tore allerdings wieder beruhigen. Mit altem Abstand ging es 6:2 ins letzte Drittel.
Dieses Drittel bestimmten die Prellböcke nun wieder komplett. Der Gastgeber konnte mit 10 Mann beim Tempo nicht mehr mithalten und ging schließlich mit weiteren 7 Toren durch die Eisenbahner unter. Immerhin gelang den Gastgebern noch ein kosmetisches drittes Tor – 3:13 der Endstand in Tschechien.
Für den amtierenden Meister bleibt dennoch viel Arbeit auch nach so einem Ergebnis. Das dritte Auswärtsspiel in Folge läutet die Liga-Endrunde ein: Am 26.02. warten die Eisbüffel auf die Prellböcke.
