Sonntag war wieder Pokaltag. Die Bautzen Huskies waren zu Gast in Dresden bei den Prellböcken, um das fällige Pokalspiel zum DTL-LEL-Pokal zu bestreiten. Beide Teams waren gut aufgestellt und so ging es munter in die Partie. Nach temporeichem Beginn gelang den Prellböcken in Minute 7 und 8 ein Doppelschlag. Zunächst markierte Norman Seidel den ersten Treffer von der blauen Linie (Assist: Daniel Leischner). Wenig später konnte Rakete, nach Zuspiel von Gabor Vaczi, zum 2:0 erhöhen. Den Dresdnern, die im weiteren Verlauf des ersten Drittels mehr vom Spiel hatten, gelang jedoch nichts Zählbares. Auch zwei Powerplay-Situationen konnten nicht ausgenutzt werden.
Im zweiten Drittel kamen die Gäste aus der Lausitz besser ins Spiel und gestalteten die Partie ausgeglichen. Es dauerte fast eine Viertelstunde bis die Gastgeber die Pattsituation auflösen konnten. In der 34. Minute war es René Böhme, der ein Zuspiel von Erik Runge in den Kasten des Husky-Goalies spitzelte. Kurz vor Ablauf des zweiten Drittels war es erneut René Böhme, der nach Vorarbeit von Daniel Leischner zum 4:0 einnetzen konnte.
Auch im dritten Drittel hatten die Dresdner mehr Spielanteile. Die vereinzelten Konter und Distanzschüsse der Schlittenhunde konnte ein hervorragend aufgelegter Prellbock-Goalie Thomas Gärtner mit sehenswerten Paraden ausnahmslos neutralisieren und hielt so, als bester Mann auf dem Eis, das Gastgebertor sauber. Derweil konnte sich Andy Müller, nach einem unwiderstehlichem Solo in der 43. Minute mit dem 5:0 belohnen. Das halbe Dutzend machte schließlich Mathias Kott, nach Pass von Tom Müller, in der 58. Spielminute voll.
Die Partie verlief trotz einiger Zeitstrafen fair und wurde durch die beiden Schiedsrichter René und Sven in jeder Phase souverän geleitet, dafür herzlichen Dank. Vielen Dank auch an unsere Helfer, Hektor an der „Stimme“ und an unsere Zuschauer. Besonderer Dank gilt natürlich unseren Gästen aus der Lausitz für den schönen Hockey-Abend.
