Durch einen hart umkämpften 4:2-Sieg im Nieskyer Freiluftstadion sichern sich die Prellböcke das Ticket fürs Pokal-Halbfinale.
Das erste Drittel ging noch mit 1:0 an die Hausherren, wobei 2 Überzahlsituationen der Gäste nicht verwandelt werden konnten und es einige brenzlige Situationen vor dem Prellböcke-Kasten zu überstehen gab.
Nach dem ersten Pausentee ging es frisch gestärkt ans Werk und die Eisenbahner konnten dem körperbetonten Spiel der Biber besser standhalten. So gelang es schließlich Danilo mit der #75 erstmals gefährlich vors Tor zu kommen: Gefährlich genug für den Biber-Goalie, Ausgleich! Zwei weitere geschickte Einzelgänge konnte er schließlich auch noch verwerten und das Ergebnis durch diesen lupenreinen Hattrick auf 1:3 korrigieren. Etwas weniger erfreulich gestaltete sich allerdings das Spiel der Unparteiischen, die offensichtlich einige Probleme mit der Verteilung der Strafen hatten. So gab es beispielsweise zum Drittelende noch eine 2+10 Strafe für Uhle mit der #55 wegen übertriebener Härte und Reklamierens (das ist mehr, als er in Summe für die Prellböcke jemals sitzen musste).
Im letzten Drittel spielten die Prellböcke deutlich defensiver, um den gefährlichen Kontern der Biber Herr zu werden. Dennoch gelang den Bibern 3 Minuten vor Schluss der ersehnte Anschlusstreffer. Die darauffolgende Auszeit nutzte auch der Trainer der Gäste zur finalen Kursvorgabe. Die Dresdner schafften es daraufhin, den Puck vorn zu halten, sodass der Biber-Goalie nicht für einen 6ten Feldspieler vom Eis konnte. Es kam sogar noch schlimmer für die Kunnersdorfer: Danilo krönte seinen Abend mit dem 4. Tor. Endstand somit 4:2 – Biber raus, Prellböcke weiter.
Mit wichtigem Glück und den wichtigen Paraden sind Thomas #54 und natürlich Danilo die Spieler des Tages.
