Am 4. November 2018 luden die Kieselstein Cracks in ihre Eishalle nach Chemnitz zum mittlerweile schon traditionellen Freundschaftsspiel. Um es vorwegzunehmen: Das Ergebnis viel ebenfalls traditionell schlecht für die Prellböcke aus. 12:2 hieß es diesmal am Ende.
Im Detail sah der Verlauf wie folgt aus. Nach der Warmlaufphase der Chemnitzer im ersten Drittel, welches die Dresdner noch 1:2 zu ihren Gunsten gestalten konnten, legten sie dann standesgemäß zu und dominierten vor allem durch individuelle Stärken. Die Prellböcke dagegen konnten ihre Angriffe nicht erfolgreich abschließen und so stand es bereits nach dem zweiten Drittel 8:2. Auch im dritten Drittel hatten die Prellböcke, trotz einiger Chancen keinen Torerfolg zu verbuchen. Die Cracks dagegen erhöhten ihrerseits die Torbilanz um weiter 4 Treffer zum 12:2 Endstand.
Im Mittelpunkt stand allerdings der freundschaftliche Geist der Partie und das ist ebenfalls schon Tradition. Lediglich 2 Strafen pro Seite waren zu verzeichnen – ein Freundschaftsspiel im besten Sinne.
